Wednesday we went to the doctor for another set of immunizations for Maya. As soon as she saw the doctor she burst into tears. Apparently she remembered the trauma of her last set of shots 2 months ago!
At about 18.5 months of age, she is 50 percentile weight (about 25 lb) and 70 percentile height. She has been very healthy over the last 6 months with only a few minor colds and one instance where she threw up.
Maya is learning lots of words - I'd say her vocabulary is at around 60 words now. She is enjoying dancing once more. She also likes to "pretend" to go to the toilet - that is, she goes through all the motions - sits, uses toilet paper, flushes toilet etc. but doesn't "produce". I take this as an excellent sign nevertheless given how much hair we pulled out training Aidan (aka "the recalcitrant child").
Today, she surprised me but "telling" me that she didn't like the clothes I picked out for her and that she would like to wear a different pair of pants and top. Yikes! Since when are 18 month olds fashion conscious?
